About the Hatchery
A ruined, skeletal landscape of shattered structures, gripped by a shade that boggles even the Light dragonflight's most studious archaeologists. In this broken city lay secrets that are too mysterious to unearth, and even the bravest dragons are given pause when approaching its haunted outskirts.

This hatchery was largely inspired by my love of dark dragons. It all started with Midnight - the rich, subtle blues and purples it had with iridescent and shimmer...It was like it went well with just about anything to my eye. Like anything I go into, I was inspired to go big or go home. I wanted to breed the best mid/mid dragons around, looking carefully at tertiary colors to see what would work and what wouldn't. Ideas began to grow. I became determined to breed them to nests that matched their terts because it differed so greatly from everything else that I was seeing out there. It boggled my mind both at how much it contributed to their appearance and how few people seemingly took it into account.
It wasn't long until I decided that I should be an x/x/y specialist. I moved on to "unloved" or "rare" colors like shadow and obs irishim. I found they were just a breathtaking as midnight! Inspiration just fed on inspiration after that really, and it wasn't limited to just dark dragons. Ideas and colors for other dragons danced in my head like sugarplum fairies until they slowly became reality.
